Xiaoqin (Elaine) Li

Co-Director
Professor of Physics & Jack S. Josey Welch Foundation Chair in Science

Elaine Li is co-director the Texas Quantum Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. She is the winner of numerous awards, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, a Sloan Research Fellowship, an NSF CAREER Award and TAMEST’s Peter O’Donnell Award. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, OPTICA (formerly Optical Society of America) and the American Physics Society.

Xiuling Li

Co-Director
Truchard Foundation Endowed Chair in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Fellow of the Dow Professorship (Chemistry)

Xiuling Li is co-director the Texas Quantum Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, with appointments in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. She has been honored with the NSF CAREER award, DARPA Young Faculty Award, ONR Young Investigator Award and is a Fellow of the IEEE, the American Physics Society (APS), the Optical Society (OSA), the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She has served as an elected member of the board of governors and VP of Finance and Administration of IEEE Photonics Society and is currently on the fellow evaluation committee of IEEE Electron Device Society, and IEEE Andrew Grove award committee. She is also a Deputy Editor of Applied Physics Letters.
