TQI Postdoctoral and Graduate Fellowship Program
The TQI Postdoctoral and Graduate Fellowship Program is designed to attract exceptional talent and foster collaborations among faculty within the core research areas designated by TQI.
Postdoctoral and Graduate Fellowships are both 2 years long. The Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a competitive salary and annual professional development funds. This program is open to both incoming and current UT postdoctoral fellows. The Graduate Fellowship offers a stipend in line with the Research Assistant salary within hosting departments and is open to both incoming and current UT students.
The application deadline for the next cycle is January 31st, 2026. Applications and questions should be submitted to TQI-OE@utexas.edu. This email is only monitored within one month of any fellowship application deadline.
Application Requirements
Please submit one PDF file per application containing the following three components, in the order listed below:
- Research Proposal
- The first line should be the title of the proposal.
- The second line must include the applicant, primary supervisor, and secondary supervisor, along with the name, department, and email address listed for each.
- Proposals that exceed the one-page limit (excluding references) will not be considered.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Include a clearly labeled section highlighting selected publications.
- Faculty Endorsement Email
- Attach a copy of an email communication in which the primary and secondary faculty sponsors explicitly endorse the candidate.
- Applications missing this endorsement will not be reviewed.
